Portugal Is the Set — You’re the Network
Locations Scout in Portugal is an independent, long-term project with a clear mission: connect people, places and productions across the country. We’re building a wide-ranging reference base that brings together film locations, crew and local resources — so producers can plan faster, hire locally and work more efficiently. It’s not a Film Commission or a production company; it’s a growing network supported by future subscription plans designed to sustain the platform for the audiovisual community. This is an independent initiative created to support the audiovisual community in a practical and transparent way. We charge no commissions, mediate no contracts and work without intermediaries; future subscriptions will simply support the platform.
This is a collaborative effort built on three pillars:
Crew — Experienced professionals across departments, including casting, can join our list and
become discoverable for incoming productions.
Producers — Local and international teams will soon access an integrated platform with search
tools to explore Locations, Resources and Crew.
Companies — From hotels and transport to rental houses and generators, businesses can be featured
to support logistics and gain visibility where decisions are made.
The project will unfold in two phases:
Phase 1 — Presenting the project and gathering information from the community.
Phase 2 — Expanding the reference base and launching the interactive platform.

How to Join
Choose the section that matches your role — Crew, Producers, or Companies — and email us using the dedicated address. We’ll reply with a short intake form so we can understand your experience, needs or services.
Once the platform launches, you’ll be notified to choose your subscription level, allowing you to activate your profile inside the directory. Until then, the team adds entries manually while we prepare the full interactive version.
People on the Ground (Crew & Casting)
FOR CREW
Skilled professionals across camera, art, sound, grip, lighting, transport and more — available to be hired where productions actually happen. We’re creating a detailed, location-aware directory so producers can find the right crew, in the right region, at the right time. We’re currently collecting applications — the platform will go live in Phase 2.
FOR CASTING
Local faces make a difference — for realism, cost-efficiency and speed. Our goal is to build a dedicated, no-agency casting directory where talent can be discovered directly by producers. No commissions, no intermediaries — just visibility within the same creative network.
Local Line & International Producers
LOCAL PRODUCERS (PORTUGAL)
Portuguese line producers can maintain a subscription-based profile to present their company, capabilities and regions of operation. This space is dedicated to national producers — visible to international teams looking for local leadership and logistics on the ground.
INTERNATIONAL PRODUCERS
Our core audience. International teams will soon access an integrated platform with search across Locations, Resources and Crew, supported by a network of local partners in accommodation, transport and rental. A single place to shortlist options, explore reference materials and prepare logistics efficiently. Full access will be available in Phase 2.
